Mario Yague was born in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, and grew up in El Paso, Texas. Experiencing a life in the border plex region of El Paso, Texas, and growing up speaking only Spanish in a town where everyone else spoke English bestowed Mario with a passion to help those in his community have a voice when they are in need. Especially those who are limited by the language barrier.
Mario continues to pursue this passion as an attorney by advocating for those who have experienced serious injuries to obtain exceptional results. Before joining Ramos James Law, Mario worked as a defense attorney, giving him valuable insight into the opposing side, which he now uses to the benefit of his clients. After his first year as a personal injury attorney, Mario was selected by the National Trial Lawyers Association as one of the Top 40 under 40 Civil Plaintiff attorneys for 2024.
Mario received his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Texas Tech University, graduating magna cum laude. Mario obtained his law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law where he graduated in the top 6% of his class and obtained the Dean’s Award. During his law school career, Mario served the St. Mary’s Law Journal Vol. 52 as an Associate Editor, and as a research assistant to two professors, ultimately contributing to three law review article publications. Mario was also the champion of the American Bar Association National Arbitration Competition in 2019 as a member of the National Mock Trial Team.
In his free time, Mario enjoys working out, training for triathlons, reading, finding new places to eat around town, and spending time with his family.
