Pedestrian Killed in East Travis County Hit-and-Run

The Travis County Car Accident
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) reported on Wednesday, January 7, that an accident had occurred in East Travis County resulting in one death. The accident happened in the 900 block Farm-to-Market 969 near Bantom Woods Bend at around 3:30 in the morning.
According to emergency responders, a vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian before fleeing the scene. The deceased had not been identified as of Wednesday evening.
Following the accident, FM969 was closed for several hours while the scene was processed. All lanes were reopened by around 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
An investigation into this event remains ongoing.
